Frankenstein’s monster has long been a central figure in Halloween celebrations, capturing the eerie and mysterious essence of the holiday. Originating from Mary Shelley’s groundbreaking novel “Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus,” the monster has become a symbol of the macabre and the unknown, making him a perfect fit for Halloween themes.
The monster’s duality, with his frightening appearance and underlying sympathetic nature, challenges our perceptions of what it means to be monstrous. This complex character makes for an excellent inspiration for Halloween treats.
Get ready to make Frankenstein Monster Chocolate Bars, a fun and spooky addition to any Halloween party or costume event. These treats are easy to create using any chocolate bars with your favorite fillings, all covered in dark chocolate. With a few creative decorations, you’ll have a delicious and festive treat that captures the spirit of Halloween perfectly.
Ingredients:
- 4 chocolate bars
- 8 sugar eyes
- 8 blueberries for buttons
- 4 skittles candy
- 1 tsp. coconut shavings dyed black
- 1 tsp. poppy seeds
- chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate
- green food coloring
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Add a couple of drops of green food dye and mix well. Fill a cooking syringe or a new, needleless syringe with the melted chocolate using a spoon.
Step 2
Unwrap the candy bars and place them on a board. Using the syringe, outline a rectangle covering about one-third of the candy bar’s length and fill it with the green chocolate.
Step 3
Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle coconut shavings or poppy seeds to create the monster’s hair. Then, add candy eyes or small drops of white chocolate for the eyes.
Chill the bars in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set the chocolate.
Step 4
Continue decorating by cutting Skittles in half. Use green Skittles for the monster’s ears and the remaining pieces for the shoes.
To help you attach the ears, shoes, and other decorations, melt the dark chocolate and use it as glue. Then Draw the monster’s mouth, eyebrows, and pupils with the melted dark chocolate.
Refrigerate the decorated bars for another 15 minutes.
And that’s it. You can now serve your spooky treats.
