This DIY wire-wrapped charm pendant is a stunning yet simple piece that you can create using basic wire-bending techniques. This pendant is perfect for everyday wear or as a thoughtful handmade gift.
Tools and Supplies
- Aluminum jewelry 22 gauge wire
- Round-nose pliers
- Wire cutters

How to Make a Gold Wire Pendant
STEP 1:
Take a random length of 22-gauge wire and use round-nose pliers to make a small loop at one end. Start bending the wire around the loop in a circular motion, forming a spiral. Continue shaping the spiral until it reaches approximately half an inch in diameter.
STEP 2:
Position the spiral at the bottom end of the charm and wrap the wire around the charm twice to secure it in place. This not only stabilizes the design but also adds a decorative element.
STEP 3:
Create a small loop on the charm using round-nose pliers. Slightly curve the wire toward the hole of the charm, preparing for the next loop.
STEP 4:
Bend the wire to form a second loop, then wrap it around the charm, bringing it toward the front. This additional loop enhances the design and ensures durability.
STEP 5:
Near the hole where the jump ring will be attached, create a third loop. Create a double-layered loop for added strength and stability. Leave the remaining wire in place for the next step.
STEP 6:
Return to the first spiral you created. Slide it slightly to the side and use flat-nose pliers to bend it. Position it so that half of the spiral rests on the charm and the other half extends slightly to the side. Press gently to secure it in place.
STEP 7:
Using the Remaining wire, wrap downward and create two small loops at the lower side corner of the charm. This adds extra detailing and enhances the overall look. Bend any excess wire toward the back of the charm and trim it neatly.
STEP 8:
Take a small piece of wire and pass it through the hole in the charm. Bend it upward and wrap one end of the wire around the other end to secure it in place.
STEP 9:
Trim any excess wire for a neat finish. With the remaining part of the wire, form a loop and attach the chain through it. Ensure the loop is securely closed using pliers.
