This white chocolate Halloween bark is ready in a few minutes and is the perfect quick dessert for your Halloween party. The bark features a colorful spider web design with spooky decorations like black rings, sugar eyes, and sprinkles.
For this recipe, you’ll need a good-quality white chocolate, which we’ve colored orange, though you can opt for purple or green if you prefer. Dark chocolate is used to create the spider webs. The recipe is simple, with the trickiest part being tempering the white chocolate. Just follow the steps carefully, and you’ll nail it. The edible decorations are up to you— we chose black cereal rings for spiders and sugar eyes to add a playful touch.
This Halloween Chocolate Bark is a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen. Let them pick out their favorite Halloween sprinkles, chocolates, and candies to make a treat that everyone will enjoy snacking on throughout the season. It’s a festive and decorative option for Halloween parties—just break it into pieces and serve it in a dish or on a tray. Your little monsters are sure to love it!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of white chocolate in the drippings
- 1 tsp. black rings
- 1/2 tsp. sugar eyes
- Multicolored tic tac tots, sprinkles
- orange food coloring
- 1 tsp red jam
- 1 tsp green jam
Instructions
Step 1
Place 3/4 of the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Place it in a water bath so the bottom does not touch the boiling water. Melt the contents of the bowl, adding 2 drops of colorant and the remaining chocolate. Stir the mixture.
Step 2
Cover a flat plate with cling film. Pour the orange base and spread it evenly over the plate.
Step 3
Melt the dark chocolate and use a syringe to draw circles and separate stripes. Then, run a skewer from the center to the edges to create a spider web. Place the black rings.
Step 4
Place the rest of the decorations, and add the eyes and sprinkles.
Step 5
Chill the bark for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Sprinkle the jam over the bark, shaking vigorously with a spoon.
Then, slice or break the treats into portions.
And that’s it.
If you plan to package the bark and give it as a gift to someone, omit the jam.
Variations
- You can always improvise with additives such as chopped almonds, pretzels, chili, and a little salt, which will allow for more flavor.
- If you like darker chocolates, make the base with dark chocolate and draw the spider web with white chocolate.
