Step 1: Cut Out the Petals

  • Using the template, cut out three flower shapes from white paper: one small, one medium, and one large.
  • Take a kebab stick and gently curl the tips of each petal upward or inward for a more natural shape.

Step 2: Layer the Flower

  • Glue the center of the large flower cutout, then place the medium cutout directly on top.
  • Repeat by gluing the small cutout in the center of the medium one.
  • Use your fingers to bend and fluff the petals upward, giving the flower some dimension.

Step 3: Make the Yellow Flower Center

  • Cut a thin strip of yellow paper, approximately 0.5 inches wide by 11.3 inches long.
  • Draw a horizontal guideline across the strip using a ruler.
  • With scissors, make small vertical cuts up to the line, creating a fringed strip.
  • Add glue to one end of the strip, then roll it tightly into a small circle with fringed edges at the bottom.
  • Fluff out the fringe with your fingers, then glue this yellow center to the middle of your layered white petals.

Step 4: Attach the Stem

  • Bend one end of a piece of green floral wire.
  • Take a small square of white paper, add glue to it, and place it underneath the flower.
  • Position the bent end of the floral wire between the flower and the paper square, then press firmly so everything holds together.

Step 5: Add the Leaves

  • Cut two leaf shapes from green wrapping paper.
  • Glue them onto the floral wire stem, a little below the flower head.

And that should do it.

You can now place your flowers into a special vase to give it a more realistic look.
