There’s something special about crafting with kids—watching their creativity come to life while making something simple yet meaningful. That’s why I’m always looking for easy, low-mess projects that little hands can manage without frustration. This popsicle stick picture frame checks all the boxes!
With just a handful of craft sticks, glue, and a few fun embellishments, kids can create a frame perfect for displaying their favorite photo, a hand-drawn masterpiece, or even a sweet note. Best of all, it’s a versatile project—add a magnet to the back to brighten up the fridge or attach a string to hang it on the wall.
Whether you’re looking for a rainy-day activity, a homemade gift idea, or just a fun way to spend time together, this DIY popsicle stick frame is a simple craft that kids will love making (and showing off!).

How to Make a Magnet Picture Frame with Pop Sticks
Step 1
Line up the Popsicle Sticks side by side. You will use 10 here. Use alternative colors if you like. We opted to use three (3) colors.
Step 2
Use the Hot Glue Gun to Glue one of the remaining four sticks horizontally at the top row of the sticks and then one at the bottom row of the sticks.
Step 3
Use the Hot Glue Gun to glue one of the remaining two sticks vertically on top of the horizontal sticks and then the last one on the opposite side. Please give it a couple of minutes to dry.
Step 4
You can now glue your buttons on top of each corner. I used brown buttons, but of course, you can use any color you like.
Step 5
Add a magnet to the back of the picture frame and glue it down with the hot glue stick.
Step 6
Now, finish the craft by adding the clothespin to the top of the frame.
And that’s it. Your project is now done. You can now place your favorite picture to showcase on the craft.
