Part 1: Fold the Origami Hello Kitty
Step 1: Start With the Base
Place the white paper in a diamond position (one corner pointing up).
Step 2: Fold the Top Corner Down
Bring the top corner down about one-third of the way to create the top of the head. Crease firmly.
Step 3: Fold the Bottom Corner Up
Bring the bottom corner up past the center to form a rounded chin. Crease.
Step 4: Shape the Head
Fold the left and right corners inward to round the sides of the face. The face should look more oval than square.
Step 5: Create the Ears
At the top left and right sides, make small triangular folds upward to form the ears. Use a reverse fold to make them stand neatly.
Step 6: Refine the Cheeks
If the lower sides look too pointy, fold the corners slightly inward for rounded cheeks.
Step 7: Make the Bow
- Option A (Simple): Use a small rectangle, accordion-fold it into pleats, pinch the middle, and secure with a small paper strip or glue dot to form a bow.
- Option B (Origami Bow): Fold a small pink square into a diamond, make kite folds, and puff out the sides to create bow loops.
Step 8: Assemble the Face
Attach the bow just above the left ear with glue or tape. Draw two oval eyes, a tiny yellow oval nose, and three short whiskers on each side.
Part 2: Assemble the Bouquet
Step 1: Mount the Hello Kitty
Tape each origami Hello Kitty onto a wooden stick or skewer. Make several for a fuller bouquet.
Step 2: Arrange With Flowers
Combine your origami Hello Kitty figures with artificial or paper flowers. Hold everything tightly together in your hand, making sure the faces are visible.
Step 3: Secure the Bundle
Wrap floral tape around the stems and sticks to hold them in place.
Step 4: Wrap the Bouquet
Place the bouquet on diagonal sheets of wrapping paper. Fold the paper around the bouquet, layering sheets in different colors for extra effect.
Step 5: Add Tissue Paper for Volume
Insert tissue paper between wrapping layers for extra fluff and a rounded look.
Step 6: Tie It Off
Gather the bottom of the wrapping neatly and secure it with tape or string. Tie a ribbon around the base, finishing with a bow.
Step 7: Final Touches
Spread out the wrapping layers and adjust the flowers so the bouquet looks balanced. Make sure each Hello Kitty face peeks out clearly.
