Supplies Needed
- Yellow Pom Poms
- 2 Green Popsicle Stick (or paint standard popsicle sticks green with acrylic paint)
- Brown Buttons
- 2 pieces of brown construction paper (one lighter, one darker)
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Strong glue or Hot Glue Gun
How to Create Pom Pom Sunflower
Step 1: Create the Sunflower Center
Fold the darker brown construction paper in half and cut a small half-circle along the folded edge.
Step 2: Assemble the Background
Glue the half-circle in the center of the lighter brown construction paper.
Step 3: Draw the Petals
Using a pencil, outline sunflower petals around the brown circle.
Step 4: Make the Stem
Cut one green popsicle stick in half. Glue the two halves onto the full-length popsicle stick to form a “T” shape, creating a sturdy stem. Then, glue the assembled stem beneath the brown circle.
Step 5: Add the Petals
Glue 4–5 yellow pom poms inside each petal outline. Continue around the entire circle until all petals are filled.
Step 6: Finish with the Sunflower Center
Glue brown buttons tightly together inside the circle, covering as much space as possible.
Your pom pom sunflower is complete and ready to display!
