Homemade Chocolate Covered Watermelon Ladybug Treats

1/4th of a medium watermelon 2/3 of a dark chocolate bar 12 sugar eyes or white drops 36 dark chocolate chips Blueberries

ingredients

Prepare the Watermelon: Slice the watermelon into slices. Remove the rinds and seeds. Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, shape the future ladybugs. Blot the hearts in a towel to remove excess juice. Make sure to do this so that the chocolate does not slip off the watermelon.

step 1

On the parchment, draw the outline of the hearts by tracing around the cutout. Flip the parchment over and lay it on the board. Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Pour some chocolate into a syringe and draw the legs and outlines of our insects. Take your time, as the chocolate does not harden quickly.

step 2

Dip the narrow part of the watermelon heart into the chocolate and place it on the contours.

step 3

Arrange the eyes. Draw a stripe and drops. Place chips on top of the drops. Chill the treat in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

step 4

Place the finished ladybugs on a chilled plate to serve and garnish with herbs and berries.
