The Albany pitcher plant, also known as Cephalotus follicularis, is native to Australia and has a unique pitcher-shaped trap. The plant’s leaves are modified into pitchers that have slippery walls and nectar glands at the top to lure insects. Once inside, the prey drowns in the liquid at the bottom of the pitcher and is digested by enzymes.
